Yeah I generally see purple during my trips as well, will see if that's still the case with DOM. Otherwise the image is completely stable for me. I get no afterimage nor does it move around. After having HPPD for about 7 months now, even the snow is going away and I actually enjoy it when I actually see it.

For me it's really similar to this: Only thing is I don't actually find it distracting and pretty much ever since it appeared 7 months ago I've learned to ignore it and at times even enjoy it. In fact I prefer to think of it as a 'heightened awareness' of my surroundings. Although at times, if I concentrate enough and listen to psychedelic rock/trance I can actually focus in and make the LSD-like 'energy spheres' appear, which make me even happier for some reason. I know it's weird.
